Helpful by design, private by default
Littlebird can only be useful if you can trust it with your work. That starts with being clear about what it sees, where your data goes, and the controls you have.
Littlebird builds context from your work and digital environment. You can pause that collection and review, manage, or delete the data it keeps.
Littlebird stores this data securely in the cloud and protects it with industry-standard security practices. Littlebird has attained SOC 2 certification to independently verify those controls.

How Littlebird operates
Littlebird is a desktop app that runs on your computer with your permission.
- On a Mac, requires the accessibility permissions you grant
- Begins with a manual launch. You choose whether it runs at startup
- Observes your workflow to provide personalized, real-time help
- Operates strictly within the permissions you’ve granted
You’re in control of your data
We believe the data Littlebird sees should be yours to manage.
- Observes app and browser activity only with your consent
- Used exclusively to deliver helpful, contextual support
- You can review, remove, or delete your data anytime
- Nothing is collected without your permission
- Password managers (1Password, Bitwarden, LastPass, and similar) are auto-detected and excluded by default
- Sensitive data such as credit card numbers and API keys are auto-redacted before being stored
You decide what Littlebird sees. And you can delete anything, anytime.
Deleting your data
You can delete context at several levels of granularity:
- Delete the last hour of context from the Context Awareness menu
- Delete the last day of context from the Context Awareness menu
- Delete all stored context from Settings → Privacy Controls
- Delete your account entirely from Settings

Your data is protected
Your data is kept safe and never sold.
- TLS encryption for all data in transit, and encryption at rest
- Not used for training by Littlebird or our providers
- Access is limited strictly to what you explicitly permit
- You can revoke permissions or delete data at any time
Your data is yours. We’ll never use it to train models or sell to third parties.
Secure by design
We’re building Littlebird with industry best practices at every level.
- Hosted on AWS (US East), following strict infrastructure standards
- TLS-secured connections and encrypted storage
- Regular internal reviews, penetration tests, and backups
- SOC 2 certified
- GDPR-aligned data handling policies
- CCPA-aligned data handling policies
HIPAA and the Business Associate Agreement (BAA)
Littlebird can support HIPAA when you accept a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and enable HIPAA in the app. Paying for a plan does not turn this on by itself. Do not put protected health information into Littlebird until the BAA is in effect and HIPAA is enabled.
To set it up yourself:
- Open Settings → Data Controls.
- Follow the instructions to view and accept the Littlebird BAA, then enable HIPAA.
