Littlebird for Slack (Coming Soon)

Littlebird is an AI assistant that helps you stay on top of your work - drafting messages, summarizing discussions, surfacing things you may have missed, and answering questions using the context you've connected to it.

The Slack integration is on its way. It will bring your Slack workspace into Littlebird so you can work with your conversations without switching tabs. Here's what to expect at launch.

What the Slack integration will do

Once available, connecting Slack will let Littlebird:

  1. Search and reference your Slack messages - pull up relevant discussions across channels and DMs you have access to, and use them as context when you ask questions.

  2. Summarize conversations - catch up on a busy channel or thread with a quick AI summary instead of scrolling.

  3. Draft and send messages - compose replies or new messages in Littlebird and post them to Slack.

  4. Connect Slack as a context source - use what's happening in Slack alongside your other connected tools when you chat with Littlebird.

Littlebird will only access the channels, DMs, and content your Slack account already has permission to see. It will not gain access to anything beyond your own Slack permissions.

How to install (at launch)

When the integration goes live, you'll be able to connect Slack in two ways:

  1. From the Littlebird app: Open Settings > Integrations, find Slack, and click Connect. You'll be redirected to Slack's authorization screen.

  2. From this page: Click the Add to Slack button.

On the Slack authorization screen, you'll review the requested permissions and click Allow to finish connecting. Littlebird will request permissions to search and read message history, read user and channel information, and send messages on your behalf - all scoped to your account's existing access. You'll be able to disconnect at any time from Settings > Integrations in Littlebird, or by removing the app from your Slack workspace settings.

Your data and privacy

When you connect Slack, the content Littlebird needs to answer your requests is processed securely in the cloud (hosted on AWS, US East), encrypted in transit and at rest. Littlebird does not sell your data and does not use it to train any AI models - its own or those of its underlying LLM providers. You'll be able to review, pause, or delete your data at any time from Settings > Data Controls.

A note on AI-generated content

Littlebird uses large language models (LLMs) to generate summaries, answers, and drafts. Like any AI tool, it can occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or misinterpret context. Always review AI-generated content before relying on it or sending it, especially for anything important.
